The supervisory board

The supervisory board is the highest body, which supervises the use of budget funds in the municipality.

The supervisory board has, according to the law, following functions:

• monitors the use of municipality's property
• ensures the purpose and efficiency of budgetary expenditures
• monitors financial operations of budget users

The supervisory board, in frame of its competences, supervises legality and accuracy of operations of municipal bodies, municipal administration, local communities, public institutions and municipal funds and also others consumers of means of municipal budget and authorised people with municipal public means and municipal property, assets the efficiency and economy of consumption of municipal public means.
